Friday, March 7, 2025Time: 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m., PT Format and length: In person, 4 hours Materials Provided: Project WET guide Audience: K-12th grade educators, formal and nonformal educators interested in taking students outdoors, including 5th & 6th grade educators working with students who attend outdoor school. Description: Dive into the wonders of water with an immersive workshop that fosters a deep appreciation for water. Using Project WET as our guide, we’ll explore engaging, hands-on activities and science-based resources designed to spark curiosity and increase awareness of the importance of water – from the streams in your backyard to the world’s oceans. This workshop also highlights local watershed education efforts and offers an opportunity to step outside and explore water in action. Bring your passion for teaching, your love for the outdoors, and let’s make a splash in water education! Stipend: A $80 stipend is available from OSU Extension Service Outdoor School to support the attendance of eligible outdoor school educators who are not being compensated by their employer for the time they attend the workshop.
