Early Learner Series, August 2022 

Each of the two online workshops in this series is a standalone workshop, educators are encouraged to register for one or for both. 

Workshop 1: Connecting Early Learners to Nature Through Growing Up WILD

Date: August 2nd & 4th, 2022

Time: 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., PDT, both days (participants should plan to attend both days) 

Format & Length: Online, 4 hours, plus self-paced work

Audience: formal and nonformal educators who work with Early Learners, children ages 1-6 yrs old.

Curriculum: Project WILD’s Growing Up WILD guide

Description: Have you noticed how innately curious young children are about the natural world around them? Are you interested in getting your early learners outside and in nature more often? Join us for an interactive workshop about how to connect young children to the natural world. In this workshop we will explore the benefits that accessing the natural world has for children as well as educators, tips and strategies to safely guide nature explorations, and dive into indoor and outdoor investigations.

Participants will be introduced to and will receive Project WILD’s Growing Up WILD guide

This workshop series is brought to you by: Calapooia Watershed Council, German International School, and Oregogn Natural Resources Education Program (ONREP).

Registration required. Offered at no cost to formal and nonformal Oregon educators. PDUs available. and will close approximately 1 - 2 weeks prior to the workshop or when full.
