Time: 9:30am Friday- 3:00pm Saturday
Description: Educators will utilize the beautiful setting of H.J. Andrews Experimental Forest near Blue River, OR to explore the integration of science with writing, literature, and art. The new children’s book written by Andrews Forest scientist and educator Judy Li and associated teacher guide along with other literature will serve as resources for teachers to engage students in forest exploration and investigations using hands-on activities. Overnight lodging and catered dinner will be provided at the H.J. Andrews Experimental Forest headquarters. Substitute reimbursement is provided for April 19. Participants will receive children’s book and teacher’s guide. For teachers who reach students in grades 4th-8th.
Cost: This workshop is provided at no cost to the participant but pre-registration is required.
