Audience: High School Educators in/or curious about Natural Resources Career & Technical Education

Location: The Oregon Garden,  Silverton, Oregon 

Description: 

This in-person conference will focus on the social, economic and ecological aspects of Oregon’s natural resources. The conference will include:

An overview of current research on relevant topics, related community college connections through lesson or lab ideas, small group discussions with colleagues on application of lesson/lab and research in the classroom.

The optional second day is training for Oregon Envirothon 2024.

This conference meets the professional development requirement of the Oregon Department of Education statewide Natural Resources / Forestry Career & Technical Education (CTE) Program of Study. Lunch provided both days. Information about lodging reimbursement will be provided in the Workshop Confirmation Letter, closer to the conference date. 

This conference is offered in partnership by: Oregon Forest Resources Institute (OFRI), Oregon Natural Resources Education Program (ONREP) and Oregon Department of Education (ODE)

Registration required.  Offered at no cost to Oregon educators. PDUs available. Substitute Reimbursement available on teacher workdays.
