The fires may be out, but the relevancy of wildfire to those that live in Oregon remains. Understanding and teaching students about the ecology of forests and fire, the issues surrounding wildfire, and prevention methods can be complex and challenging. Participants will learn about wildfires in Oregon: How and why they occur, the effects that fire can have on the land, what strategies can be used to reduce the negative effects of wildfires and obstacles to implementing solutions.
