University faculty teaching at colleges and universities throughout Oregon incorporate PLT and/or Project WILD curriculum into science methods, social studies methods, and other courses throughout the year. Students use the materials in their actual teaching practice, work samples, and practicums.

Using Project Learning Tree and Project WILD interdisciplinary guides introduces environmental literacy with hands-on activities that are adaptable, accessible, and effective. These valuable resources allow them to engage students in exploring the natural world, connecting to natural resource professions, and participating in hands-on activities.
