Untamed WILD Waters, Clean Coasts: Exploring Beaches and Estuaries in Coos Bay

Description

Join fellow educators on a Saturday at the South Slough Reserve Visitor Center for a hands-on workshop exploring marine debris and Aquatic WILD lessons. Build content knowledge, practice engaging activities and leave with classroom-ready resources to inspire watershed stewardship, environmental awareness and climate literacy.

Dress prepared for time outside and a short walk to the beach, where we engage in various learning activities.  

Lunch included!  

Considerations:  This workshop includes time outside in varying weather conditions, including a walk to and an activities at the beach. While the South Slough Visitor Center is wheelchair-accessible, one outdoor portion will take place at the beach, which is not wheelchair-accessible.

Registration required and will close approximately 1 week prior to the workshop or when full.  Offered at no cost to Oregon Educators. PDUs available. Substitute reimbursement available on teacher workdays.
