Audience: PreK-5th grade educators, formal and nonformal, and geared towards nature preschool educators
Description: Step into the fascinating world of mushrooms and mycelium! This hands-on training will equip pre-K through 5th grade educators with creative, age-appropriate ways to introduce students to the world of fungi with confidence. Through interactive activities and cross-curricular lesson plans, you’ll learn how to spark curiosity, foster safe nature exploration, and help young learners see fungi as a vital (and magical)part of our ecosystems. Leave with ready-to-use activities, safety protocols, resources, and the confidence to turn your students into aspiring mycologists!
This workshop qualifies for Oregon Registry Online (ORO) professional learning credit.
Considerations: We will be spending time both indoors and outdoors in a forested area. Please dress for the weather and outdoor activities.
