Nature for All: Supporting Neurodivergent & Disabled Learners

Time: 9:00 am - 3:30 pm, PT

 

Format & Length: In person, 6.5 hours

 

Audience: Geared toward 3rd-6th grade educators, formal and nonformal, but all educators welcome

 

Materials provided: Project WILD K-12 Curriculum & Activity Guide 

Description: Join this inclusive Outdoor Education Workshop and discover how to make nature-based learning accessible for all.  Hear from experts in disability and outdoor education about adapting lessons to support learners with diverse needs. Dive into Project WILD activities and learn how to tailor them for neurodivergent and disabled students. We will focus on working with learners with higher support needs. You'll walk away with inclusive strategies, practical tools, and new partnerships to bring equitable outdoor experiences to your programs.
