Curriculum: Project WILD’s Climate & Wildlife Guide 

Description: Want to teach climate change ecology with confidence and compassion? Join us for an interactive workshop that explores the potential of the new “Project Wild: Climate and Wildlife” guide. During the workshop, we will explore the social-emotional ramifications of climate change education and share recommendations to help young people cope with environmental change. Then, we will highlight selected activities from the new guide and suggest modifications to the lessons which will help Oregon students cultivate personal agency and social trust. Finally, we will generate a resource list of agencies, land managers and other prospective partners who can support your students in service learning and participatory community science activities.  Particpants will receive Project WILD’s Climate & Wildlife Guide.

This workshop is brought to you by:  Southern Oregon Land Conservancy and  Oregon Natural Resources Education Program (ONREP).

Registration required. Offered at no cost to formal and nonformal Oregon educators. PDUs available. Substitute reimbursement available on teacher workdays.
