Description:  Transform your science instruction with hands-on, locally grounded strategies that spark curiosity and deepen student understanding. Join us at the Oregon Garden, where you’ll explore how place-based learning can make water science concepts meaningful and relevant for all learners—whether indoors or outdoors.

You’ll dive into three Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS)-aligned lessons from Project WET’s Foundations of Water Education guide and experience each activity the way your students would. Discover practical ways to enhance these lessons by tapping into local resources, community partners, and digital tools. By the end of the workshop, you will be familiar with the Project WET portal, gain confidence using the Foundations of Water Education guide, and be equipped with engaging strategies you can bring back to your classroom immediately.

Considerations: This workshop includes some outside activities in varying weather conditions
