Description: In many elementary classrooms, science can take a backseat to subjects like reading and math—but what if science could help bring all subjects together? In this workshop, we’ll explore how to create dynamic, interdisciplinary lessons that make science an integral part of your students' learning experience. Using engaging, hands-on activities from Project Learning Tree (PLT), we’ll demonstrate how science can serve as a thread that connects and enhances core subjects like math, language arts, and social studies.

You’ll leave with ready-to-use strategies for creating lessons that not only inspire curiosity about the natural world but also help students build essential skills like critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration. Participants will receive the PLT Explore Your Environment curriculum guide, packed with activities and resources to bring science to the forefront of your classroom.

Join us to discover how to make science an exciting, meaningful part of your students' daily experience—without sacrificing time spent on other core subjects!

Registration required and will close approximately one week prior to the workshop.  Offered at no cost to Oregon Educators. PDUs available. Substitute reimbursement available on teacher workdays.
