  • Project Learning Tree’s The Journeys of Black Professionals in Green Careers.

Description: Forestry careers are as diverse and dynamic as the forests themselves! In this hands-on workshop, you'll discover exciting ways to introduce your students to a wide range of careers in forestry. Learn from Weyerhaeuser professionals about career pathways in this vital industry, from sustainable forest management to environmental stewardship.

The day includes a field trip to one of Weyerhaeuser’s local tree farms, where you’ll see first-hand how forests are cultivated and cared for. You’ll also receive two valuable resources: Project Learning Tree's Green Jobs: Exploring Forest Careers curriculum and Project Learning Tree's The Journeys of Black Professionals in Green Careers, both packed with activities to help you bring these career pathways to life in your classroom.

Plus, enjoy lunch and the opportunity to network with other educators. Whether you're introducing students to nature-based careers or expanding their understanding of the green economy, this workshop will leave you with the tools and inspiration to bring forestry careers to your students in engaging and meaningful ways.
