About ONREP Facilitators
ONREP facilitators are experienced professionals located throughout Oregon who provide professional development workshops for PreK-12 educators in their region and/or statewide with the support and guidance of ONREP staff. Workshops are held online, in-person, or are a hybrid between online and in-person delivery. Our facilitators are knowledgable and passionate about environmental education, most of them are classroom teachers, nonformal educators (i.e. 4-H, Scouts, after-school programming), and professionals from natural resources organizations and agencies (such as nature centers, museums, aquariums, zoos).

Facilitator Qualification, Expertise, and Skills
ONREP facilitators have a background in environmental education and commit to engaging in continuing education on an annual basis to keep up to date on environmental education topics and facilitation skills. The facilitators attend 8-10 hours of training when they first join ONREP, which includes equity, diversity, and inclusion practices, as well as trauma-informed care. New facilitators are paired up with an experienced mentor through our mentorship program to hone the practical application of their skills. At the completion of an in-depth 5-9 month onboarding process, facilitators receive ONREP certification.
