Curriculum: Project WILD’s Flying WILD

This training is geared towards teachers who are experienced in leading outdoor activities with their students and want to continue to grow their knowledge about Central Oregon ecosystems.  Teachers will learn about bird communities and their habitat from natural resource experts from the Deschutes National Forest. Educators will learn techniques for facilitating real-world field investigations that connect to Next Generation Science Standards, and will also have a special focus on incorporating nature journaling into field experiences. Participants will receive the Flying WILD curriculum.  Graduate credits and PDUs will be available.  Teachers should have attended at least 1 Children's Forest or ONREP training in the past 2 years.
