Silverton: Making Outdoor School an Integral Part of the Learning Progression

Time: 8:30 am - 4:00 pm

Audience: Limited to 5th or 6th grade teachers whose students will attend Outdoor School next year. 

Curriculum: Project Learning Tree and Project WILD 

Are you a fifth or sixth-grade teacher whose students will attend Outdoor School next year?   Would you like to strengthen the concepts your students learn at Outdoor School? Here’s a free workshop for you!  Learn methods and strategies to enhance and extend students’ Outdoor School experiences. Participants will come away with the content knowledge, skills and materials needed to develop and use natural-resources-based lessons that are aligned with Outdoor School curricula, state standards, and statewide environmental literacy programs. The lessons can be used in the field or the classroom, before or after the students attend Outdoor School.  Lunch provided.   This workshop is offered at no cost to Oregon educators. One credit from Southern Oregon University is available at additional cost.

This workshop will be limited to 5th and 6th grade teachers whose students will be attending Outdoor School in Oregon.
