Format:  Facilitated online, 2 hours total

Audience: Intended for K-8 formal educators, but all are welcome! 

Description:  This workshop will outline the benefits of outdoor learning and help educators overcome the obstacles of taking their classroom outside.  Additionally, we will explore how to embed equity and social-emotional learning in an outdoor environment. Educators will leave the workshop with a toolkit of best practices for designing engaged learning and maintaining safety in an outdoor setting. Registration Required.  Offered at no cost to formal and nonformal Oregon educators. PDUs available. Substitute reimbursement available.

This workshop is one of a series of 3 workshops being  offered in partnerships with SOREEL (Southern Oregon Regional Environmental Education Leaders). The workshops can be attended as a series or as stand-alone events. Please note that Incorporating SEL SS#1 and Incorporating SEL SS#1 Alternate Date are the same workshop offered on different dates.
