Time: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Audience:  3rd – 12th grade educators and non-formal educators.

Curriculum: Aquatic WILD and StreamWebs Field and Classroom Watershed Investigation guide.

Workshop Description: 

Educators will engage in hands-on activities focused on the local watershed and will be introduced to an environmental literacy framework that incorporates Next Generation Science Standards and Social Studies Standards. This workshop will be held at the Forest Grove Community Center, is offered at no cost to Oregon Educators, and lunch will be provided! SOU graduate credit available at additional cost.

 All educators who participate in this entire one-day workshop will receive a variety of resources that support a meaningful watershed education experience. Resources include the new Aquatic WILD guide and the StreamWebs Field and Classroom Watershed Investigation guide. 

 In addition, the first fifteen 21st Century Community Learning Center Educators to register for this workshop will receive a $50 stipend! This is made possible thanks to a Watershed STEM Education Partnership Grant from the National Marine Sanctuary Foundation. Priority will be given to 21st CCLC Educators but any 3rd- 12th grade educator (formal and non-formal) are welcome to register  Space is limited and we expect this workshop to fill quickly, so please register soon!
