Description:  Explore and investigate the ecosystem in your schoolyard. This Energy in Ecosystems workshop focuses on how to engage 3rd-5th grade students in activities that build their understanding of the ways in which organisms depend on each other to survive and thrive. This new, award-winning Project Learning Tree unit, or “e-unit” is constructed around targeted performance expectations of the next generation science standards, and features comprehensive, interactive connections to NGSS and CCSS. During this workshop, educators will investigate the e-unit and engage in activities that use Energy in Ecosystems to create a deeper knowledge of the environment right outside their classroom door. Offered at no cost to Oregon educators  Substitute reimbursement is provided.
