As a participant in this project, you will be part of a learning cohort that will plan and implement a watershed-based service-learning project with your students over the course of two years. You will be expected to participate in all four workshops, in on-line discussion between workshops, and implement a watershed-based service-learning project with your students.

Two-Year Project Overview

  • February 7 & 8, 2014, Workshop One, H.J. Andrews Experimental Forest, Blue River, Oregon
  • Spring of 2014, Workshop Two, ½ day at your school, Date TBD
  • Summer of 2014, Workshop Three, 1/2 day at The Oregon Garden, Silverton, Oregon, date TBD (after the end of school in June)
  • Fall of 2014, Workshop Four, ½ day at your school, Date TBD
  • On-line discussion and progress sharing throughout the project

This opportunity is offered to 15 participants in teams of two or three from the same school or school discrict at no cost. Register no later than January 10: after that date we will accept applications based on space available. Prior to the first workshop you will be asked to complete a brief survey. If you choose to take the workshops for credit, you will be responsible for that cost. Please register in teams of two or three from the same school or district.
